Anderson Lake Hangar Rentals

My husband has had a lifetime dream of owning a hangar for his plane (now a Cessna 172 on floats, wheels and skis). We looked for years and ended up buying five hangars near Anderson Lake not far from Wasilla, Alaska. One is for our plane and the other four are rented, along with a few tie-down spots.

They're not (yet) finished, so they're more like carports than garages. Each is about 1250 square feet. We're trying to finish one by winter of 2003 and it will then be available for daily use by planes renting the other hangars or tie-downs.

Cost is $175/month on a yearly basis if paid so I don't have to collect rents more than twice a year. Here are some options that will work for us:

The lot is fenced but not always locked. It's a short taxi to the lake or land strip. Maintenance services available.

Directions: From the Parks Highway going north, take Seward Meridian to Bog ard Road and turn right (it's a T so you have to turn). Go a few miles to the four-way stop sign and turn right. Take the next street left. Go past the mini-mall and take an immediate left through the gate to the hangars.

The gate to the taxiway is generally locked. To get to the lake and airstrip, go back to the four-way stop sign. Turn right and then right again on Shaw Loop Road E. It parallels the taxiway.
