Sharing by God's Plan

Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing and your vats will brim over with new wine. (Proverbs 3:9)

You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion. (2 Corinthians 9:11)

Freely you have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:8)

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7)

There are three levels of giving: less than your ability, according to your ability, or beyond your ability. Sacrificial giving is giving what you would rather keep.

An inventor of earthmoving machines, R.G. LeTourneau, reached the point of giving 90% of his income to the Lord. As he put it, "I shovel the money out, and God shovels it back to me--but God has a bigger shovel."
