Introduction

The Bible is like an infinite jigsaw puzzle. No person has or can put it all together, regardless of how many years we devote to study. It doesn't matter how much you know or don't know now. The process is what counts. Jesus Himself said: "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Luke 11:9) Pick up the pieces. Look at them. Try fitting some of them together. The more you learn, the more pieces will fall into place.

The purpose of this book is to provide a few sorted and organized pieces to start with, to hopefully make it easier to begin the process. Hang in there. Ask questions. Study and pray. Proverbs 25:2 says: "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings." We enjoy the joy and privilege of kings in searching for the riches within God's Word. And we have the help of the Holy Spirit. John 14:26 says: "The Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

This booklet is by no means complete. There is so much to learn! But I had to call a halt somewhere. My hope and prayer is that what is here will be useful, and that it will encourage and challenge you to discover more of the incredible riches in God's Word.
