Rosh HanikraRosh Hanikra

North of Akko, where the border between Lebanon and Israel meets the sea, is a beautiful grotto called Rosh Hanikra. It is owned by a kibbutz and is a lucrative tourist attraction.

In 1988, I paid to go down in a cable car and explore it. Waves washed and sloshed into the limestone caves. It was a beautiful, unusual place.
